The Fred Adam Perpetual Trophy contest is held annually in conjunction with the Port Adelaide Caledonian Society to honour PM Fred Adams contribution to the SA piping fraternity. Fred was originally from Montrose Scotland, and spent a number of years as Pipe Major of the Port Adelaide Caledonian Society pipe band.
The Fred Adam Perpetual Trophy is a competition restricted to Elementary and Sub-Intermediate pipers.
The evening also combines the Ewen Masson Trophy which has been donated by Ewen who was a past Chieftain of the Australian Pipe Band Association.
